MagicCon 7 | Vortrag | Die Schwertfeuer-Saga (Lesung)

This is the story of the Blade Rush, a mercenary legion listed with elite status in Rorgator’s Contract Hall. Three and a half thousand of the best warriors in the world march in their ranks. The gold of their employers determines their destination.

Eivora, the young mercenary, leads the Storm Banner, which carries out the particularly daring missions. Often behind enemy lines, this unit decides between victory and defeat.

Rorgator, the metropolis surrounded by volcanoes, is the mercenaries’ home, refuge and safe base. But the fire demons demand a higher price for their protection than can be paid with gold alone …

The military fantasy trilogy by Robert Corvus was published by Atlantis in a beautifully designed hardcover edition in 2024. The author presents the new edition with a reading and audience discussion.

With Robert Corvus, we welcome one of Germany's most successful fantasy authors to MagicCon. Titles such as Schattenkult, Gezeiten der Macht and Die Schwertfeuer-Saga are among his successes. He also writes for the biggest science fiction series in the world: Perry Rhodan. Together with Bernhard Hennen, Robert adapted one of the basic adventure campaigns of the role-playing game The Black Eye, Die Phileasson-Saga, as a twelve-part series of novels. His current project is the series Die Vagabunden (The Vagabonds), which is published in magazines.

Robert has been a full-time writer since 2013. Before that, writing was a hobby and sideline for 25 years. During this time, novels were published under his pseudonym Bernard Craw in the BattleTech and The Dark Eye universes.

Robert was a soldier, management consultant and project manager in international corporations. He has backpacked around the world, made a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela and taught karate. After working in Münster and Sindelfingen, he now lives in Cologne.
