Miranda Otto

With Miranda Otto, we can look forward to the return of the actress who played the beautiful, brave and clever Éowyn from J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy at MagicCon 7. The Australian actress brought the Shieldmaiden of Rohan to cinematic life in The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

Miranda Otto also moves in magical dimensions outside of Middle-earth. In Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – the successful series adaptation of an American comic book series – she plays Zelda Spellman, one of the aunts of the main protagonist Sabrina Spellman.

Before Miranda Otto discovered her love for acting, she began medical training, which she gave up in favor of her passion. Since her screen debut in 1986 (Emma’s War), the filmography of this versatile actress has continued to grow. This includes cinema hits of very different kinds, such as the SF epic War of the Worlds or the horror spectacle Annabelle 2, as well as successful series such as Homeland, 24: Legacy and The Clearing. The series Ladies in Black is in the starting blocks.
