MagicCon 7 | Vortrag | Weite Welt der Rollenspiele

Are you one of those people who collect or want to collect pen & paper role-playing games, like other trading card games, and need new ideas? Dungeons and Dragons is your go-to system, but you want to try out other genres or systems? Maybe you’re just curious about what the wide world of role-playing games has to offer?

Then you’ve come to the right place. This year I’m introducing you to a range of systems that are NOT Dungeons and Dragons. It will of course be about classic fantasy systems, but also urban fantasy, horror, sci-fi and also a system with which you can theoretically play anything.

Of course, it will also be about how complex or simple the role-playing systems are. Do you perhaps need to tailor them more to your group or does the system already cover everything? And of course: Which dice do you need for which system and if so, how many?

Lecturer: Loki Maring
Duration: 60 min  -  The Lecture will be held in: german

Loki Maring has been playing pen & paper role-playing games for about 6 years. He took his first steps as a player, but quickly started running games himself. At first he was a game master for an international group that played online. He now runs a Fey Wild campaign in the Dungeons & Dragons system. This group meets once a month at his home - if nothing comes up.

He is also slowly but surely building up a collection of other systems. His favorite games include Thirsty Sword Lesbians and Avatar, both based on Powered by the Apocalypse, and Vaesen.

Away from pen&paper, Loki is involved in advocating for the rights of queer people and otherwise marginalized groups. If there's any spare time between DnD games and political activism, he's also a passionate knitter and illustrator. He also talks a lot about pop culture and fandoms with his friends.
