MagicCon 4 | Vortrag | Die letzte Dichterin | by Katharina Seck

At MagicCon 4, Seraph prizewinner Katharina Seck will read from the newly published fantasy novel “Die letzte Dichterin” (The Last Poetess”).

About the novel:

Magic in Phantopia has dried up. Only in the city of Fernab is there a last remnant, so Minna Fabelreich, an impoverished poetess, is extremely excited when she receives an invitation to take part in a famous poet competition in Fernab. But soon she realizes that the competition was just a pretext to lure her into the city. The queen herself makes dark plans and wants nothing less than to rob Minna of all her imagination.

A novel full of magic and adventure. The reading is aimed at all lovers of fantastic literature.

Katharina Seck was born in 1987 in Hachenburg and grew up in this medieval small town crowned by a castle in the Westerwald. After attending the old-language private grammar school of the almost 800-year-old Cistercian Abbey of Marienstatt, she now works for the local association administration.

When she is not writing, she spends a lot of time with friends, dog and family or enjoys a cosy evening with a big book on the sofa. She loves nature, dense forests and the sea. She has been enthusiastic about books and fantasy in particular since childhood. In 2017 she won the Seraph Literature Prize in the "Best Book" category for her novel "Die silberne Königin" (The Silver Queen).
