Short film – Die Like A Shark – Shane Rangi

Exclusive screening on Friday (04.10.2024) after the “Opening Ceremony”

It is our great pleasure to present the award-winning short film Die Like A Shark (Me Mate Ururoa), starring our MagicCon 7 star guest Shane Rangi! The popular actor was awarded several times as best leading actor. Shane was also involved in this project behind the scenes as a producer. Nick Epstein is responsible for the direction and screenplay.

The 15-minute film tells the story of an ageing boxer whose life falls apart when he refuses to accept the end of his once illustrious career. Don’t miss the exclusive screening (the film will be shown for the first time outside of festivals) on Friday (04.10.2024) following the “Opening Ceremony”.
