A reading by Ute Raasch from her novel “Das Geheimnis von Antakana”
Four ships depart from Earth with the mission of finding uninhabited worlds suitable for establishing human colonies. One of these ships is the Icarus, under the command of the domineering Colonel Meany. Like the other three, the Icarus carries an expedition team to make the necessary preparations for eventual colonization.
One day, they discover a seemingly uninhabited planet that seems eminently suitable for colonization. After landing, everyone is thrilled. In front of them a strange but wonderful landscape spreads out. One person, however, is confused: Colonel Kavan Summer, the head of the military escort command. Everything here seems strangely familiar to him from the first moment. The further they advance, the more knowledge Summer gains about the local conditions. But where does this knowledge come from, which he can’t actually have at his disposal? Some time later they find the Antakan Aditi under mysterious circumstances and another mystery opens up, because something seems to connect Aditi and Summer.
