MagicCon 4 | Workshop | Cosplay-Fotografie | by Julian "Souly" Zechlin

The Cosplay Photography workshop at MagicCon 4 is designed for beginners and advanced photographers alike. Here you can see some examples of what you should pay attention to if you want to photograph Cosplayer.

The “Dos and Don’ts” of Cosplay Photography will be taught, as well as poses for beginners and advanced photographers and models.

Mimics for the cosplayer, location search for shootings, with focus on “Take what you can get”, working with what you can find. Photographing at conventions. How can I get the best out of my picture, what do I do at especially crowded conventions, how do I ask for a photo? Of course there will also be a “Q&A” part and at the end of the workshop there will be a small shooting so that all participants will go home with a memory.

The focus is of course on fun. The workshop should take away the fear of photographing and create a better togetherness for all participants. The workshop lasts approx. 65 minutes and is followed by the shooting with approx. 40 minutes.

Workshop leader: Julian 'Souly' Zechlin
Max. attendance: 20  -  Pre-registration at: TBA
Fee: TBA  -  Duration: 105 min
The Workshop will be held in: german
I, Julian or Souly, have been photographing at conventions since 2008, the year in which I got my first SLR camera in my hands. Since then I've tried out a lot, shot in all seasons, climbed up high and dived deeply. I don't regard myself as a master of photography and there is still a lot of air up there.

During all these years I have gathered a lot of experience and would like to pass it on. Cosplay Photography has changed a lot and as a photographer you have to go with the changes to not lose the connection. But you should never lose your own style.
