MagicCon 6 | Vortrag | Kanzashi-Blüten für Kostüme | Eve Suder
Let beautiful sewn flowers bloom on your robes, fantasy costumes and in your hair.
Whether jewelry for a fairy, headpiece of a magical nature creature, or the gorgeously embroidered robe of a ruler, these three-dimensional flowers add that “something extra” and are everlasting.
In the Kanzashi Flowers for Costumes workshop, inspired by the Japanese art of fabric flower making, I’ll show you how to make these “Kanzashi Flowers”, because it’s not as complicated as it looks. With a few simple basic techniques, you’ll learn to sew a flower that you can take with you right away.
Step by step I show the creation of different types of flowers, the basic shapes and folding techniques, how to assemble and attach to stems, and explain finishing a piece of jewelry as well as different ways to attach the flowers to costumes and headpieces.
And a bit about the history of Kanzashi art is included, of course.
