Imagine: a rugged guy with a rough voice and an aura that immediately makes you sense that there is more to him than just character-that’s exactly what Duncan Lacroix<\/strong> brings to the table. In Outlander<\/em>, he became something of a fixture for fans: As Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, Jamie Fraser’s loyal godfather and companion, he stood by his side for decades, sharing dangers, silence, and loyalty. His departure in season 5 was one of those moments that left hardly a dry eye in the house – a real goosebumps moment for all Outlander fans.<\/p>\n

But Duncan’s<\/strong> path to get there was anything but straightforward. Born in Welling, Kent, he later moved to Ireland, where he discovered his passion for the stage. After studying acting in London, he followed up with a master’s degree in theater at the National University of Ireland Galway. From there, he went straight into acting – with plenty of energy, curiosity, and that typical British-Irish mix of charm and depth.<\/p>\n

He made his television debut in 2011 in Primeval, followed by appearances in Game of Thrones, Reign, and Vikings. On the big screen, he appeared in Outlaw King as Lord Henry Percy, among other roles. Despite his growing success, Duncan has always remained loyal to the theater, where it all began for him-Shakespeare, classical dramas, intense roles that shaped his expressiveness.<\/p>\n
