Writing fables

Dragons, unicorns, manticores, and leviathans … mythical creatures leave our readership in wonder. They are threat and promise, familiar and companion. They live in deep forests or keep cities alive, are feared or are targets of desire. But how do you make them as interesting as possible?

In this writing workshop, we’ll explore the fascination of winged ones and fire-breathers. We’ll explore what the appeal of these characters is – and how we can use them in stories. Robert Corvus will share his experiences before participants work in small groups to conceptualize mythical creatures and anchors for related stories. In the process, we will not only work out what we value, but also explore fantastical creatures that no human has seen before …

All you need to participate is a good mood and a pencil. Registration is not required.
