Beheaded – Der Wille der Schatten (The Will of Shadows) is his first novel and the first part of a trilogy, having already appeared in several anthologies and online magazines with his gripping stories.
An undead on a headless quest. The story takes place in a dark, medieval fantasy world with a supernatural impact. The beheaded undead Crayne, together with the duke’s daughter Amodela, searches for his head in a country haunted by war and black magic. They find out that their repressed past is connected to the threatening events.
On the day of his execution the guardsman Crayne wakes up in a dungeon cell without any memory of his previous life. A little later he is beheaded and his head is stolen by an ominous woman.
From now on Crayne has to live his life as an undead, caught between the world of this world and the realm of the goddess of the dead Arvo.
Together with the Duke’s daughter Amodela, who is connected to him by a curse, he embarks on a dangerous search for his head. Hordes of undead, witches and demons confront them in the path that constantly leads them south … into the heart of darkness … where Crayne hopes for salvation.
