MagicCon 5 | Workshop | Elfen - mehr als spitze Ohren | B. Hennen & R. Corvus

Elves, fairies, the ancient race, the guardians of the forest and messengers of light …

No species permeates fantasy more strongly, none fascinates a wider audience.

From Legolas to Drizzt, authors have featured elves in a wide variety of ways. In this writing workshop, we’ll explore the fascination of naturalism and magic, immortality and naiveté. We will explore what the appeal of these characters is – and how we can use them in stories. Bernhard Hennen and Robert Corvus will share their experiences before participants work in small groups to conceptualize elven cultures and characters. In the process, we will not only work out what we value, but also explore corners of the enchanted elven realm that no human has entered before …

To participate, all you need is a good mood and a pen.

As "Lord of the Elves," Bernhard Hennen is one of the top German fantasy authors. He is currently continuing his global success with the Schattenelfen series. He has also shown innovative ways for fantasy with the award-winning Chroniken von Azuhr.

Robert Corvus is best known for his work in dark fantasy, for example, Schattenherren. In Gezeiten der Macht, he rethinks magic - as a craft. At the University of Münster, he accompanied a seminar on writing a fantasy novel as a guest lecturer. He is also a team writer for Perry Rhodan.

Together they write Die Phileasson-Saga, one of the most successful fantasy series; their novels are frequently found on the bestseller lists. Both authors love interacting with the public - both in readings and at their booth.
