MagicCon 2 | Vortrag | From Fantasy to Reality

Manuel D’Andrea’s MagicCon panel From Fantasy to Reality is about the art of bringing magical and imaginative characters to life.

To explain the process of how to bring to life a character that we see in a movie, game etc, Manuel will divide the panel in 4 sections of around 15 minutes each: Makeup, wigs, contact lenses and a small section at the end for audience questions.

Manuel will explain the basics and the main differences between products and he will give tips and tricks that will help the audience picking the right items when it comes to create a cosplay, a costume or a makeup transformation.

In the Makeup session it will be explained how to contour and how to create illusions on the face using shadows and highlights + the products that everyone should have!

In the wigs section Manuel D’Andrea explains the differences between synthetic and human hair wigs and between classical and lace front wigs + how to apply them (products to use and how to use them).

In the contact lenses section of the panel From Fantasy to Reality at MagicCon 2 he will explain the main differences between contact lenses and how every lens transform your eyes.

Born and raised in a little town near Rome in 1993 , Manuel D'Andrea develops a passion for creativity and art from the first years of life. He has a vocation for painting,draw,graphic art and post-production,tailoring,decoration and sculpture.

in 2011 Manuel discovered a particular skill for creating costumes, this is the year when he creates his first cosplay. In 2012 he won some important prizes like the Italian Championship and in March 2013 he creates his personal Costume brand,Midnight Costumes a space dedicated to the creation of high quality costumes, from Cosplay to themes wedding dresses.

Manuel continues his artistic career applying his art also in the designers world where he creates artwork from various merchandise (from T-shirts to interior design) and starting from 2016 he decides to create a space on his socials where he transform his face with makeup into different types of characters from male to female, from human to fantasy. Nowadays manuel works actively as a costume designer, graphic and traditional designer and makeup artist.
