Reading of the “Mesrée-Saga” by and with Florian Clever
The desert town of Mesrée is suffering from a long drought. When wild nomadic tribes attack, the situation becomes critical. Sajit is a scribe in the city council and has nothing to do with warfare. Until, seemingly by chance, he stumbles upon a mysterious source of power. While Mesrée’s downfall is all but sealed, Sajit throws this power to the fire of the desert warriors.
“The desert dragon has left his lair. And he is not stingy with his fire.” (from the book)
Here you can expect fantasy with a touch of 1001 nights. Danger, love, friendship. Magic and flashing scimitars. Intrigue and betrayal. Slumbering secrets. And many surprises, good and bad. Hot desert winds and cool cisterns await. Gilded roofs and poor gutters. And a hero who is not really a hero, but certainly never wanted to be one.
