Geek!-Magazin stellt sich vor

Geek! has been around since 2012. It was launched at a time when print was already considered ‘dead’. The original plan to create a successor to SpaceView now seems less far-fetched than many initially thought. The gap needed filling, and Geek! did so admirably. Looking back over the past 14 years, it’s been quite an eventful time, but one we’ve always managed to navigate successfully with our loyal editorial team.

And yet Geek! is once again facing a major challenge. Panini will not be continuing the magazine. It should be clear to everyone that this was a heavy blow for us at first, as we produce Geek! primarily out of a passion for the cause. It didn’t take a single day, however, for Henning, Björn and columnist Claudia Kern to meet up and look for a solution – and they found one.

Geek! will live on – exactly as you know it. The only difference? In future, the magazine will be published in colour by the ‘Farbe und Bunt’ publishing house under editor-in-chief Björn Sülter.

In 2027 we’ll be celebrating our 15th anniversary, and in 2029 our 100th issue. These are goals worth fighting for. That, and the joy of putting together an informative and entertaining magazine for you every two months – with heart and soul, passion and a whole lot of geek expertise.

At this year’s MagicCon 9, you’ll get to meet the editorial team on stage and at the ‘Verlag in Farbe und Bunt’ stand. There’ll also be free magazines and prizes to be won.
