Die Magie der Steinblüte

Reading by Johanna Tiefenbacher from her first novel “Die Magie der Steinblüte”

The plot focuses on eighteen-year-old Monika, who has to struggle with exclusion in her small town and desires nothing more than to escape her everyday life. When she finds a mysterious amulet in the forest, she has no idea that this is the beginning of a magical adventure. Suddenly she finds herself in the middle of a battle for the mysterious stone blossom, in a strange magical world in which nobody seems to be well-disposed towards her. She must distinguish between friend and foe and learn to trust in her own strength.

In addition to the main plot, the book takes up topics such as sexual orientation, suicidal thoughts and rape. Many of the characters suffer from not fitting into their environment, they feel lonely and misunderstood. It is important to understand each other, to be there for each other and to feel loved. Everyone deserves people in his life who stand by him, no matter what happens.
